Amjo is now offering special pricing on a complete coating line. This system will allow overall and spot application of UV coating to sheets up to 28 x 40 inches. The coater is a Heidelberg SORSZ press which has been converted for applying UV coating as well as completely rebuilt. The coated sheets are delivered onto an 18 foot conveyor with a high temperature fiberglass reinforced belt and variable speed drive. The full length of the conveyor is equipped with vacuum hold down to hold even the lightest sheets in place. At the infeed of this conveyor there is a medium wave infrared heater. This may be used to heat the UV coating, after it is applied to the sheets, to enhance the gloss at higher speeds. The UV curing chamber is near the delivery end and utilizes 2-42 inch 300 watt per inch medium pressure mercury vapor bulbs. These are "Rapid Cure" systems and are completely air cooled which eliminates the need for refrigerated water chilling. The conveyor has a catwalk over the infeed end. This is to allow the operator easy access to wash up the coater and to move from one side of the line or the other without walking all the way around. The automatic descending pile stacker places the sheets onto a pile board for easy unloading with pallet jack. This unit has easily adjustable stack tampers for quick changeover to different size sheets and a wide view mirror for monitoring the pile height from the coater control station.
